Left Kanarraville rest stop about 8:30 am. Stopped about an hour up the road at another rest stop to re-torque the trailer wheels. Should have been done 50 miles after these tires were put on, but I forgot to do it when we went through Mesquite. Trailer tire pressure was down a bit in the morning too (43 and 45 in two), but didn’t air them then. Will need to re-air before we leave Capitol Reef. Arrived at the free BLM area to the west of Capitol Reef about 12:15. Had to use 4WD to get into our parking space. Had to back in but it’s a good space with privacy but still not too far from the road. Skies are partly cloudy and breezy, and there was a short sprinkle of rain this afternoon. Temperature is 83 with a nice breeze. The area is at the base of red rock cliffs, and is fairly steep and quite rocky. I was expecting it to be flatter. Evergreen bushes are scattered among the rocks. The ground is hard and red.
